The
video technology behind the Belmar cam requires no plug ins or special
browsers, it works with any Netscape 3.0 or above or Microsoft Internet
Explorer 3.0 or above.
The
Belmar Cam site does take advantage of new technologies available
in the more recent versions of the above browsers. We suggest you
download the latest of either of these browsers at the Netscape
site or the Microsoft site.
We
have done everything we can to accommodate viewing live video with
all 3.0 & up browsers. You may find that some pages don't look
quite "right". This is due to differences between browsers. The
proper width to view our pages is 600 pixels.
AOL
Users:
To view the cameras you must have a AOL for Windows 95 or Windows
98 Version 3.0 & higher. AOL users on older computers must go
to AOL.com and download the newest AOL version. Any Pentium computer
should work with this technology.
Mac
Users:
AOL 3.0 & Up only!! Internet Explorer 3.0 & Up Netscape
3.0 & Up Only!! Mac users may experience longer delays because
all Java takes longer to process on Mac's than PC's. The Video May
take 1-3 minutes to initialize.
Corporate
Fire Walls:
If your company has a firewall the video may not work.
Web
TV should work, but some Web TV
users were unable to view the live feed.
Streaming
audio and video is utilized on Belmar
cam. Our software requires requires no plug ins or special browsers
but others do. Also many of the weather and surf cam links require
you to
download
a Real Player or Media Player plug in before
you can view the video.
Note:The
Belmar Cam and
More Cams web sites require no plug in or special browsers. Belmar
Cam supports and links to web sites using several streaming audio
and video formats including.
RealPlayer
RealPlayer plays live and on-demand RealAudio and RealVideo. This
plugin will allow you to listen to or watch video as it streams
into the player. You may have to download the entire file to your
desktop before using it! Download

Windows
Media Player
NetShow plays live and on-demand video, also RealAudio and RealVideo
files. This plugin will allow you to listen to or/or watch as camera
images streams to your web browser. Download
